In this work questions are considered of education calx and decarbonization of metals in ferrous and in non-ferrous metallurgy. The analysis of the physical and chemical processes. Ways of protection of metals are studied against oxidation and decarbonization when heating in various furnaces. The directions of search of the decision on decrease in negative impact on specified processes in article are specified.
